Screw this haiku stuff...time for a real post.

I'm back at work next week (and uni as well) so I'm trying to make the most of the few remaining hours of holiday I have left (this involves ramen, beer and coffee....not necessarily together though). Is it just me that spends the last few days of holiday going "bugger, I have to go to work next week" instead of spending what little free time I have relaxing?

I want to play Epic 40k again. I miss using entire guard regiments as a diversionary measure :)

Also...does anyone have experience with installing Linux on laptops?

UPDATE: 4:43pm
alas! false alarm
no pocket pcs for me
at least, not quite yet.

I've had an idea. I'm going to try to include haiku in my posts from now on.

Endless waiting ends:
My pocket pc is here!
At least I think so.

Update at 4pm :)

As a follow up to my ramblings about the music industry.....clicky clicky

I am now suitably equipped to take on the ignorant masses.

Also...check this out here. Playing Halo on a 8 story screen...heaven. Might need a sick bag for some games though...

"Angels in my Heart, Devils in my Eyes" - John Bush

Ahhh the lyrics. Just listening to a new (old) cd by Anthrax. And i got thinking....why is it that only alternative/metal bands actually have lyrics that are good/have meaning? Why do all pop songs generally have crap lyrics eg "oh ahhh just a little bit" or "Oops I did it again"? WHY?!??!?! We have people getting paid millions of dollars to churn out songs with the emotional depth of a puddle. Am i missing something? Or is this more evidence of the decline of western civilisation? Is appealing to the lowest common demoninator the only way to make it big?

End rant. That was fun. :)

But yes Flibble is correct...warcraft has kept me busy...along with banking and eating, drinking, dooming and laughing.

On the warcraft front yes it is WARCRAFT! In 3D! And its also starting to piss me off. Keep getting flooded when trying to defend the lich! Don't you hate it when the forces of light dare to confront the the forces of darkness!

True Story
I was at a vietnamese restaurant last night, and a young woman (around 20?) walks in with a asian dude to order food.
She looks at the menu and asks what's nice.
The owner suggests something but says its spicy.
And she's like "Ooh, no well i can't have that, I don't like spicy"
So he says, "Well it's a bit spicy, not too bad"
And she asks, bizzarely: "Is it spicier than KFC?"
...and then everyone laughed at her.
I mean what the fuck is next? "More exotic than the Red Rooster Hawaiian Chicken Burger"?

I just spent a lovely weekend in the Golden Heart of Victoria.
I drove up there on Saturday afternoon. I drove at 110kph! And didn't kill anyone!
Sovereign Hill rocks, even if you are over 12.

Anthony, I still think that colour is a bit ferral :)
